Ready to take your spearfishing from “thinking about it” to actually living it? Our 3-Day Spearfishing Course combines relaxed, supportive coaching with real skill building — perfect whether you’re just getting started or leveling up your dive game. Day 1 – Theory & Safety Essentials We ease you in with everything you need to know before you dive in. We break down gear selection, setup, breath-hold basics, equalisation, safety systems, buddy procedures, rescue theory, the ethics of hunting, and finish with an open Q&A so you leave confident and ready. Safety isn’t scary — it’s empowering. Day 2 – In-Water Skills & Rescue Practice Day 2 moves into the water. You’ll rehearse rescues and recoveries, drill essential safety protocols, and learn how to operate as a proper buddy team. We focus heavily on correct diving technique, efficiency, and comfort so you’re relaxed, capable, and fully prepared for the real hunt. Day 3 – Real Hunting (With Targets You Choose) We take all you’ve learned and put it into action. On your final day we head out to hunt — that could be crustaceans like lobster and crab, or fish such as bass, pollack, and flatfish. Got a specific species you’re aiming for? Tell us, and we’ll plan the day around your goals whenever conditions allow. One of the standout parts of this course is the included one-to-one equalisation session with world-renowned freediver David Mellor — a 4× Masters world record holder and the first over-60 diver to reach 100 m in competition. He’s a seasoned competitor and teacher whose insights on breath-holding and pressure equalisation take learning beyond what most standard courses offer, and having that expertise built into your spearfishing training is a serious advantage. On top of that, your booking includes 12 months of personal dive and spearfishing insurance, so you’re covered long after the three days are done. This course isn’t about rushing you — it’s about preparing you right, having fun, and giving you the confidence to dive and hunt safely and successfully. Cancellation Policy
Dive Terms and Conditions Cancellations: If YOU cancel Cancellation for any reason: Full deposit refund should not be expected for cancelation 4 weeks before the course due date only free rescheduling. Cancellation for any reason: No deposit refund for cancellations occurring within 4 weeks before the course due date. Rescheduling on a last minute basis could be agreed. There can be NO refunds for anyone who decides not to complete a course whilst on the course. If WE cancel Cancellation due to weather conditions: No deposit refund should be expected but a free reschedule of the course will be offered and arranged. Cancellation for any other reason a full course fee refund within 30 days or a free rescheduling (same season or following season) Rescheduled course The cancellation policy does not apply on rescheduled courses and charters. Fitness All courses and charters require the completion of a self medical declaration form, this is available on request before the purchase of any course. Minimum requirements apply . Please check the course details to see the minimum requirements to enter. Failure to fulfil them will lead to the loss of the full course fee. Equalisation failure Equalisation is a key point in spearfishing and we advise you to do your free course with David Sea sickness The water based element of your course is run from sea. Therefore the ocean movement can not be controlled. If you are subject to motion/transport illnesses please take adequate measures prior or during the course. A premature return to shore will be organised. No partial or full refund will be made. Deposits Deposits refundable under conditions (see: cancelation policy). By choosing to place a deposit you are agreeing to commit to the course, and we will have changed our sales schedule because of that. Sometimes we may have already used that deposit to pay for some element of your course/charter. Moving dates (Illness, bereavement, transport, changed your mind etc) If you need to move your course more than 4 weeks before the course start date, and you do not want to accept the cancellation policy, we will move your dates free of charge. Less than 4 weeks before the course start date It will be at our discretion.
